The Powered Parachute is recognized as the easiest and safest way to fly. The avionics of a powered parachute are uncomplicated and quick to learn. Starting off with classroom ground school instruction, you will learn the rules of the air and regulations pertaining to ultralight aircraft. Many new pilots are ready to solo after only a few hours of flight training.

 

Just imagine, you could be solo flying a powered parachute in just one weekend!  All ground school and flight training are given by Transport Canada, Qualified Flight Instructors rated for Ultralight Powered Parachutes.

Learn to Fly in "SIX EASY STEPS"!

Learn to Fly!

Step 1 - Register with Flight School

  • *The paperwork. Application and registration for Ground School and flight training.

  • *Applications required by Transport Canada. Cat. 4 Medical Declaration, Proof of Citizenship, Name, Age and Address.

Step 2 - Ground School Training

  • *This classroom training will cover the Manual for Ultralight Pilot Permit set out by Transport Canada. This course covers a complete program of information required to be learned by the student prior to solo in an ultralight aircraft. A pre Solo exam will be required to be written before a Student Pilot Permit is issued.

Step 3 - Flight Training

  • *You will learn correct procedures of inspection of your aircraft.

  • *Pre-flight checks are one of the most important rituals you will carry out prior to flying your craft. Everything must be checked for your own safety.

Step 4 - Set Up

  • *A powered parachute requires proper training for the pilot to know and understand the parachute wing and the line shrouds. The canopy forms your wing and in order for this to be inflated safely you will learn the important steps to follow.

Step 5 - Dual Flight Training

  • *Dual in flight training is hands on training. This is where you will be put to the test of skill. You will start in the back seat and then pilot in the front. You will learn take offs, approaches, touch and goes, landing and emergency maneuvers during this extensive training exercise. This is what it is all about!

Step 6 - Solo Flight

  • *When you have completed your dual flight training so that your instructor feels you are competent to fly solo, you will be issued your Student Pilot Permit and be able to fly solo under the supervision of your instructor.
  • *You will be required to write an exam with Transport Canada for your Pilot Permit in order to fly unsupervised.
