Locate S5-1 pulley plate and with flat edge down
place S5-2 pedal against S5-1 and bolt using flat Phillips head bolt
washer and nylock. Next install AN4-12A bolt through bottom holes
through S5-2 steering pedal then S5-1 pulley plate. Now with bolt
protruding out the back side of S5-1 pulley plate, place three
AN960-416 washers and one SAN960-416 special sized washer (against the
bearing on the retainer C-CLIP side), one S5-3 rail bearing and one
more AN960-416 washer then secure with AN365-428A nut. Insert AN4-11A
bolt through top front hole of S5-1then three washers and one
SAN960-416 and next rail bearings, one AN960-416 washer and AN365-428A
nut. Check that the bearing retainer clip is not binding against the
SAN960-416 washers.
- Make certain that the bearing retainer clip side of the roller
bearing is facing toward the foot pedal plate. Tighten rail
bearings snug then back off ¼ to ½ turn so the bearing turns
freely.
AN43B-12A eyebolt is inserted from pedal side
through top rear S5-1 plate hole, three AN960-416 washers and one SAN
960-416 washer and rail bearings, two AN960-416 washers and secure
with AN365-416 nuts.
Repeat for other side and then install on S2-10
Rail.
Locate AN4-10A bolt, place a AN960-416 washer and
S5-4 ½" spacer. Insert into ¼" holes that are in the pedal
rails and secure with a AN364-428A thin nut. Repeat for 3 other pedal
stops. Use needle nose pliers to hold thin nut not while tightening
AN4-10A bolt. On the rear stops only: these may be too far back
for some pilots. You can relocate these stops for comfort between the
1st and 2nd holes in the rail. Drill a ¼" hole and install.
Locate RF-1250 pulley and insert AN3-10A bolt
through pulley then three AN960-10 washers then AN43B-13A eyebolt,
then one AN960-10 washer and nut. Secure with pulley parallel to
pulley plate S5-1. Repeat for other side.
