12 WIRE CABLE |
Feed a length of
mechanics wire or similar from the front of S1-01 body tube and push
it all the way through until it comes out the back. Now tape the ends
of both the 18-12C wire cable and 18-7C wire cable to the mechanics
wire and pull back through until the 18-12C and 18-7C cables are
completely out the front.
Remove the mechanic
wire.
Now insert mechanics
wire into one of the rear pre-drilled holes located behind S2-11 rear
engine post and push out the back of S1-01 body tube. Attach one cable
with tape to the mechanics wire, then pull through. Drill holes.
Repeat for other hole and the other wire.
Repeat this process for
the holes at the front between S1-4 brackets. Pull about 36" of
wire out the front holes and leave remainder out the rear holes.
NOTE; If you are
installing the optional Front Cowling you will need to drill new holes
in front of the steering post brackets to bring the wire looms up
inside the front cowling.
STEP 1 WIRING LOOM
DIAGRAM
Feed mechanics wire into hole you
are pulling wire into. Make a hook in the wire at the attach end.
Remove the outside
sheath of the loom and cut of a few wires to make the end less bulky
to pull through. Attach the wire hook to one of the wires and fold the
wire back against the loom.
Use electrical
tape to hold wires in place. Notice the taper of the end you are
pulling through the tube.
|
|
Pull the wire through the tube with
care.
When you pull the wire through the
exit hole pull on the tape portion and gently wiggle it through
until you have desired length of loom out of the tube.
|
|
|
Make sure there is
sufficient wire pulled out on each end of body tube.
