In the ultralight industry we have been supply manufactured kits for our current ultralight models for close to 15 years now. This is why it is easy for us to offer you this option for the Summit Powered parachute line we now manufactuer. Of course if you want a factory built Summit we will be more than happy to build one for you.

In this section we have provided a few steps out of our construction manual to hopefully give you an idea of how easy it is to put your own summit kit together. It seems that one of the standards being currently set in the powered parachute industry is to only offer full factory built powered parachutes. Let us explain in point form why we think that is.

2. When you have to supply a PPC in kit form in which you are randomly pulling parts off the shelf to include in the kits you are packing, every part has to be exactly the same. At Summit all our parts are produced in jigs or on our own computer controlled equipment so every part is exactly alike. This also insures you, when replacement parts are required no matter if it is 5 years from now they will fit and fit correctly.

3. When you have to supply a PPC in kit form every part has to have a part number, you just can’t give it a description. At Summit every part is number and identified by that exact number. So when it comes time to identify parts during the assembly process of your Summit kit this is a very easy and quick process.

4. When you supply a PPC in kit form, you need a huge parts and packing department with qualified people in each department, this takes space and money, Summit has already made this commitment enabling us to pick and ship parts quickly and efficiently.

5. Some of our competitors do offer their PPC’s in kit form but there idea of a kit is far different than what Summit offers. The Summit kit is mainly a bolt together kit with all tubes, holes, brackets etc etc already finished and drilled.
